Napster FAQ
Based on this statement, and other statements
regarding the Napster issue, it is our belief that the band
has basically said "OK" to posting "bootleg," or more specifically:
live, unreleased materials. Inter Sandman has no qualms
and is happy to share with fans of Metallica some of the more
interesting and uniqe moments in Metallica history, and once
again we remind everyone that Inter Sandman makes no money from
this site, we are totally supported and maintained by completely
volunteer staff who pay for this site's maintenance out of their
own pockets. If Metallica or their representatives feel any
of the material posted here is inappropriate, please contact
via e-mail at news@intersandman.com.
You will not find studio recording or other released
materials. 99% of the time you will not even find a complete
song here. These files are meant only for die-hard Metallica
fans in quest of "cool" sound clips. If you're looking for
something to avoid buying a CD, don't waste your time or our
bandwidth.. buy the CD. If ya wanna hear songs that were never
really played live, like Dyers Eve or Carpe Diem, Baby in
a live setting, or if ya wanna hear Lars sing, or whatever
weird clip we get up soon... you came to the right place!
Thanks & Enjoy!

KNAC: What do you wanna hear? METALLICA!!!
On February 15, 1995, KNAC 105.5 FM, a Pure Rock station in
Long Beach, California, was forced to change formats from
Pure Rock to Spanish music. They had supported Metallica a
great deal, and had a Mandatory Metallica radio show on before
most other stations. On their last day, James and Lars were
in the studio. In memory of KNAC, here are a few KNAC-related
sounds...

Better Than You
(Hetfield/Ulrich)
Live - London - 8.23.95
On August 23, 1995, Metallica played at the London Astoria
2 for a few hundred Metalliclubbers in their first Metallica
Club members-only club show. They played '2x4,' 'Devil's Dance,'
and even got the opportunity to jam a bit on 'Better than
You' before 'Last Caress.' This song later appeared on Track
12 of the Fan Can #1 CD, and now is track 5 on ReLoad.

Fixxxer (Backwards
intro)
(Hetfield/Ulrich/Hammett)
Metal62@aol.com,
asked Metallica about the beginning of "Fixxxer,"
and was told that there's some backwards music in there. She
was cool enough to give us a backwards .wav of the intro to
the tune! Now you can check it out for yourself!

Such A Shame
(Trauma)
from the Metal Blade Records release Metal Massacre II
There are very few recordings of Trauma, the band that Cliff
Burton played with before he joined Metallica. This song is
the best quality Trauma tune in circulation, from Metal
Masscare II. (If you'll recall, Metallica's first release
was on Slagel's original Metal Masscare album.) "Such
a Shame" features Cliff on bass. This was recorded in
1982 before Cliff joined Metallica.
