Fuck Yeah!!!

Went to see this last night. Here are my thoughts...

Anthrax: 7 out of 10. Joey sounded great. Hard for me to score them that high because I preferred Bush (get it, bush?) but they kicked ass!

Megadeth: 8 out of 10. Daves voice was kinda low and off in parts, but the musicianship was flawless. Very technical if a bit stiff performance definitely on fire.

Slayer: 7 out of 10. Got repetitive as all live Slayer does. Sounded good, but wow, what a skill drop off after Mustaine/Broderick. Very brutal set though

Metallica: Scoreless. Imagine Tyson or Ali in their day stepping in the ring and just layin' it on a motherfucker showin' how it's done. Kirk was on fire. While not as technical as Mustaine or Broderick, I loved his ferocity, and he was spot on. Hetfield is God man. That dude makes you want to run through a brick wall, and I'll give Lars credit... he can be a bit lazy and while not the most skilled drummer there, he brought it. If James is the heart and soul, Lars is the backbone. His timing was excellent and boy does he help the crowd go ape shit! Rob was Rob crab / crip walkin and layin' down the bass! If there was any doubt about who the "Headliners" are, it was laid to rest during Bellz! Fuckin' Metallica just layed the beat down boy!

All in all, very cool to see all these guys. I hope that they can get along well enough for a major city US tour. Oh by the way... I got goose bumps and kinda emotional when Kirk and Mustaine hug prior to Am I Evil, and when Hetfield and Araya shared a hug and a laugh during the photo shoot... Makes me feel like we're part of a brotherhood man...

I'm out, God Bless fellas!

4 of the greatest metal bands of all time on the same stage together. That was AMAZING!!!

Posted by Robert @ 06/24/2010 02:24 PM EST

I guess we'll never see the full version done again, will we? Anyway, it was great seeing all the bands up there and it sounded great.

BTW, there are some theaters showing the Big 4 thing again tonight.

In the latest MOT video, the boys jam a bit on "house jack built".

Man, that would be cool to see it make the set.

Posted by manguy @ 06/30/2010 09:34 AM EST

I read a review of the movie experience over on knac.com. The reviewer said Frayed Ends was in the setlist. He was incorrect, right?

4-5 good songs on the new ozzy cd. Thought it would be a bit better from the first single, but overall probably better than black rain.

Posted by kurt @ 06/30/2010 10:25 AM EST

Kurt... hey buddy, they played the "ooohh eee yoooo" part prior to the encore. I too dig Ozzy's new one... so this is what I've been digging.

Mostly the newer hard rock like:
Godsmack: Oracle
Disturbed: New song (Another way to die)
Avenged Sevenfold: Nightmare ( I hated these guys but they keep getting better)
Ozzy: Scream

New Bullet 4 My Valentine is kick ass as well. If you hate any of this it's fine. But if you haven't given it a day in court, too bad for you, you're missing out... If you hate something, make sure you give it a shot, that's what pisses me off about Load / ReLoad haters...

Anyhow, if there were any question who the most ferocious live band is, lest there be any doubt after Metallica blew the fucking doors off of the joint. Not Pantera, Slayer or anyone... Korn came fairly close, but that's like saying you got close to nailing megan fox because you rubbed one out to her.

The new Ozzy is real good. There are about 5 real good ones, but overall it's 10x better than Black Rain. I got bored of the new Godsmack pretty quick, but it's still good. Can't wait for new BLS, the two songs I heard are awesome.

Posted by MONSTER @ 06/30/2010 01:08 PM EST

Yeah, I got bored with the godsmack pretty quick. Only a couple tunes stood out to me. The first single I thought was stupid as hell. And Sully was touting this as their black album. Sorry dude, no fuckin way.

You mean we might find out people's real names and what they look like?

Bizarrio world, lol.

Posted by manguy @ 07/02/2010 09:09 AM EST

What? Just cause I go by JD people think I'm the character from Scrubs?

Posted by JD @ 07/02/2010 05:11 PM EST

So I am guessing slow-going from here 'till September, and even then just an Aus/NZ tour. Too bad they can't go on their 80's calibre tour/album/tour/album/tour pace anymore :P

Do you mean September 2012, Yukoner? hahaha

I hope they do impose a deadline on their next album-making session. Shake things up a bit, get the whole thing done in 6 months etc.

Hi Guys,

Metallica inspired me to form my own band back in year 2000 and I just wanted to share a few demos with you.
All together I have over 50 songs from ballads to heavy metal range. All songs will eventually be uploaded, so if you like what you hear, please subscribe to the channel.

Please check links below for a couple of instumentals and a cover version of "Requiem For a Dream" theme.

Mustaine's doing a book signing here in the Detroit area on August 19. I wonder if he'll sign an old Metallica flyer for me?

Posted by JD @ 07/25/2010 05:15 PM EST

So I've got a ticket to the Carnage tour for August 14th in Lowell, MA. Problem is I ended up scheduling a vacation at the same time. Sorry, but a week on an island will be out mega/slayer/testament. So.......I haven't heard of any of you guys here being in the general vicinity of massachusetts, but if anyone wants the ticket I'll give it to ya. It's not gonna do me any good and I don't have the patience to try and sell it. Let me know if you're interested.

missouri auto insurance Good luck getting people behind this one. Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard. What are trying to say here? What do you want us to think? It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought. Anyway, thats just my opinion. Maria - texas car insurance
