04/03/2009 Entry: "LIVE DVD COMING?"

Live Design Online has an interview with Metallica lighting and production designer John Broderick. While it's fulled with the sort of info that might mean little to us laypersons, it is still wonderfully insightful and full of details - both large and small - it definitely helps one appreciate the work and workers that are behind the scenes at every Metallica show.

Aside from that, it contains one tidbit that might concern all Metallica fans: And it seems Broderick isn’t tired of the gig after 21 years. He’ll be back out with Metallica in the South of France in July for a DVD shoot of the tour.

I was hopeing they would have a DVD for that gig they did in Germany where they did the whole Master of Puppets album. But a 2009 one with all this new Material would be awesome shit!

Sounds awewsome. Hopefully they had that sho win Germany recorded and add it as a special feature on the dvd. Would love to know if they ever plan to have the bridge school performance on dvd as well. Can't wait to watch the induction tomorrow night on fuse. It's gonna be cool to see them play with Jason again, but I do think they should play with Rob as well. he is part of metallica now and he should play with them for one song.

Hey Yukoner, you can get the Germany show with the master of puppets performance on the web, just look for it on any p2p service...It was recorded for MTV Europe, so audio and video quality are very good. Peace

The London MetOnTour video finally got posted, with Overkill in the tuning room and Outlaw (sounding great) from the show.

And there's also pictures posted of Jason rehearsing with the band.
